Barbara Dendy
Information Manager and GIS Specialist
Barbara Dendy has more than 24 years of experience in location consulting. As the Information Manager and GIS Specialist for Forsythe & Associates, Ms. Dendy provides research and GIS support to corporate clients.
Ms. Dendy’s primary responsibilities are to create, manage, and update GIS databases; manipulate and edit data for site location analyses; and produce custom project exhibits. Her knowledge and skills have added considerable value on recent feasibility studies, workforce assessments, and comprehensive site selection projects.
Ms. Dendy joined Forsythe & Associates after more than 13 years with McCallum Sweeney Consulting (MSC) where her project experience included: Lucid Motors (automotive), Dollar General (distribution), DRT America (chemicals), Hilti North America (headquarters), Northrop Grumman (aerospace), Shaw Industries (carpet tile and hardwood flooring), Hertz (headquarters), Coeur Mining (headquarters), Tronox (headquarters), Aquion Energy (batteries), Daiichi Sankyo (pharmaceuticals), Mitsubishi Electric Power Products (transformers), SunCoke Energy (headquarters), SGL Automotive Carbon Fibers (carbon fiber), Alstom Power (wind turbines), Nordex (wind turbines), International Shipholding (headquarters), and many others.
Before joining MSC, Ms. Dendy spent more than 25 years with Fluor, seven of which were spent providing GIS support for site location consulting efforts. She also edited proposals, qualification documents, brochures, and presentations and assisted with the development of project deliverables. An example of Ms. Dendy’s GIS work was published in ESRI’s 2003 Map Book, Volume 18, entitled "Alternative Creation Screening Example."
