Beth has more than 22 years of experience in economic development research. As the Research Manager for Forsythe & Associates, Beth performs custom research and data analysis to support corporate clients with feasibility studies, workforce assessments, and comprehensive location selection projects.
Ms. Lewis joined Forsythe & Associates after more than 22 years with the SC Appalachian Council of Governments (ACOG). As ACOG’s Senior Research Analyst within the Economic Development Department, Beth guided the development and evolution of ACOG’s InfoMentum Decision Support System over the course of 20 years. InfoMentum investors included the Greenville Area Development Corporation (GADC), the Anderson County Office of Economic Development, OneSpartanburg, and the Upstate SC Alliance, just to name a few. The InfoMentum suite of services consisted of multiple components, including a GIS-based mapping and data retrieval application, which provided investors a “do it yourself” tool for evaluating potential sites. The ACOG also developed and maintained property search modules that were embedded into the respective websites of InfoMentum investors. These modules utilized the SC Department of Commerce’s industrial properties database as their source. The InfoMentum suite of services also included a custom research component, whereby Ms. Lewis and other ACOG staff provided comprehensive mapping, research, and support services using resources such as Emsi, Esri, and Tableau, in addition to other public and proprietary databases.
Ms. Lewis holds bachelor’s degrees from both Clemson University and the University of Georgia.
